The challenge: unintentional warming
Besides natural heat absorption, science also describes an anthropogenic greenhouse effect, which is the result of a change in the radiation balance of the earth's atmosphere. This means that when the heat radiation barrier becomes too compact, it leads to additional and unintentional warming.
Switzerland has ratified the Paris Agreement and is therefore committed to reducing greenhouse gases by 50 percent (based on 1990) by 2030. Currently, Swiss companies have the possibility to contribute voluntarily to this target.
Our ambition
We set scientifically validated climate protection targets based on the Science Based Target initiative framework. We are therefore committed to reducing our operational CO₂ footprint by 42 percent by 2030 compared to the base year 2022 and we want to achieve net zero by 2035.
