Swissness

Swiss products enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide and stand for reliability and high quality. The "Swissness" legislation strengthens the protection of the designation "Switzerland" and the "Swiss cross" and is intended to prevent misuse.

The Swiss Ordinance on the Use of Swiss Indications of Source for foodstuff is given if the following two requirements are met:

• at least 80% of the raw materials available in sufficient quantities in Switzerland originate from Switzerland (100% for milk and milk products)
• the essential processing step takes place in Switzerland.

Since 2017, we have been implementing the Swissness Ordinance on the Use of Swiss Indications of Source for Foodstuffs in our own production facilities.
