Our almonds come from California
Around 80 percent of the world's almond production comes from California. We also source our almonds from a maximum of six Californian producers via three Swiss traders.
The Californian almond industry values environmental and consumer protection.
This is also necessary, because periods of drought are always a great challenge for the Northwest of the USA. Once again, every drop of water must be used in the best possible way.
According to the California Almond Board, almond farmers have been able to reduce the amount of water needed to grow half a kilo of almonds by 33 percent in the last twenty years, and they are committed to achieving another 25 percent by 2025.
