Certified sugar
We source Swiss sugar from IP-SUISSE-farms.
Since 2026, we have been purchasing IP-SUISSE sugar using the mass balance model. In doing so, we are supporting Swiss agriculture that focuses on biodiversity and natural crop cultivation.
IP-SUISSE sugar beet producers actively support biodiversity by creating specific areas for promoting biodiversity in arable land, such as flower strips or fallow land. These provide valuable habitats for bees and other beneficial insects. Cultivation is particularly close to nature:
The result is sugar that not only tastes good, but is also good for nature and agriculture.
IP-SUISSE sugar: sustainable in the mass balance model
IP-SUISSE sugar is currently only available in the mass balance model because sugar beets from all over Switzerland are processed together in Swiss sugar factories during the harvest season. A strict separation of IP-SUISSE and conventional sugar would greatly complicate the production process and consume unnecessary resources.
The mass balance model makes it possible to integrate more IP-SUISSE sugar beets from sustainable cultivation into existing production chains. This strengthens environmentally friendly agriculture without placing additional strain on the environment, logistics or producers. The following always applies: no more IP-SUISSE sugar is sold than IP-SUISSE sugar beets have been purchased.

Most of our beet sugar is Swiss sugar
Our sugar travels short distances: we source 100 per cent of our pure sugar raw material from Switzerland. Some semi-finished products also contain sugar, a small proportion of which may come from EU countries.
