Wernli reduces the weight of plastic biscuit trays
Our aim is clear: only as much packaging as is necessary. That is why, in 2024, we began reducing the weight – and thus the amount of material used – in all Wernli Choco Petit-Beurre biscuit trays. This enabled us to save around 5 tonnes of plastic in the very first year. In 2025, we extended this optimisation to the entire Wernli range and increased the savings to just under 10 tonnes.
That is roughly equivalent to the weight of 15 Swiss dairy cows – another step towards responsible indulgence.
