The Swiss Employer Award

With 42,909 participants from 153 companies in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, this is the largest Swiss survey conducted among employees. The Swiss Employer Award is the most representative award for determining employer attractiveness in Switzerland. The detailed assessments by company employees are decisive in attributing this award.  The questionnaire, which was scientifically prepared, consists of some 60 questions. On average, 76% of all employees of a company filled it out. So these assessments are incredibly useful, providing, as they do, a very nuanced image of the working environment.

The key elements

Employees rate their employer in all areas of the working environment that are essential to creating satisfaction and commitment Across all participating companies, these three elements of workplace conditions have a major impact on employee commitment:

  • Corporate Strategy
  • Employee Involvement
  • The Nature of the Work

The bodies running this

The Swiss Employer Award benchmarking survey is a promising tool for companies in Switzerland. It offers them the chance to see how they measure up to the best employers in their business sector. They can also use it to develop the company and personnel marketing.

The Swiss Employer Award has the backing of two major organisations: the Swiss Employers' Association (the Union patronale de Suisse) and the Swiss HR association (Swiss HR). Conception and roll-out is handled by the project consortium icommit, based in Küsnacht (Zurich).
